Accommodation in India

You will be staying in your own private room, in the charming, family run guest house called The Blue House. It is the oldest Guest House & roof-top restaurant in old Jodhpur.

The owners are keen to point out that "the Blue House is full of the love and welcome that makes India so wonderful and a trip here so unique. As an honoured guest in their home you will be afforded every luxury, comfort and convenience needed or desired to make your stay in Jodhpur and India an experience you will cherish for the rest of your long life".

Each room is cheerfully decorated, with cultural themes of Rajasthan. All rooms have attached modern bathroom with round the clock hot and cold water and Free Wifi services. 


A multi cuisine choice is available and special diets can be catered for.

The Indian, Continental and Rajasthani cuisine has an authentic home cooked flavor with the emphasis on fresh ingredients.

Dinner is served in Heritage Royal Dining Hall or you can enjoy the serene verandas and terraces, with breath taking views of the old as well as the new parts of the Blue city.


Getting to the retreat

All you need to do is book your flights from your nearest international airport to Jodhpur and get on the plane. We will meet you, provide everything you need in India and put you back on your flight home.

Remember to make sure you have a valid passport!

Fares from Australia to Jodhpur are circa $1,000 return at this time of year, with reputable airlines.

Flights to and from Jodhpur are not included in the Retreat Course fee.
We will arrange for you to be collected from and returned to Jodhpur airport.

Pick up from Airport, any time of day on September 17th and transport from the Blue House to the Airport, any time on September 27th - so please book your flights to correspond with these dates.

Traveling Companions program

Let us know where you are traveling from and we can put you in touch with other attendees, leaving from the same airport, so that you can book your flights and travel to the Gathering together.

What your course fee includes


Transport from Jodhpur airport to the retreat and back to the airport on departure (to meet your flight).

10 nights accommodation in your own comfortable private room.

All training and materials required to complete the IMTTA Certificate in Meditation Teaching and Holistic Human Development training course.

You will leave India a fully qualified, internationally accredited Meditation Teacher, Chair Yoga Instructor and Holistic Counsellor.

Once you have paid for your Retreat Training Course fee, you will also need to arrange and pay for the following:

Your flights to Jodhpur

Your visa

Australian nationals require a valid visa for entry into India - Choose a Tourist Visa.

There are a few ways to apply for an India visa and the easiest is through the new e-visa process. Australian and New Zealand passport holders can apply for an e-Tourist Visa (e-TV) to enter India at certain designated airports.

You can apply online a minimum of four days before your arrival, up to 120 days. For example, if you’re applying on the 1st of September, you can arrive between the 5th of September and the 2nd of January.

The visa costs around $40 (excluding credit/debit charges which must be paid at least four days before you travel) and will be valid for 60 days from the date of arrival in India. You’ll need to have a recent front facing photograph with white background and a scanned copy of your passport photo page that can be uploaded in order to proceed with your application. 

One last thing, your passport will need to be valid for at least six months after your arrival date into India, and have at least two blank pages for stamping.

Spending money

We recommend you talk to your bank about the best way to access your money in India - You cant just take your ATM card and use it overseas without arranging this with your bank first. (All of your accommodation, meals and transport within India is included in your retreat fee, as outlined above).

The local currency in India is the Rupee (INR or Rs) 

The program

Your day will begin with breakfast at 8am, so earlier rises will have time for early morning exploring, which might include a visit to the near-by, Jodhpur Markets.

Classes will begin after breakfast and break for lunch. There will be four free afternoons for you to either relax and catch up on your reading or explore the town. You might even like to do some sight seeing.

Dinner will be served at 6pm each evening, followed by chair yoga classes and meditation from 7.30pm.

Day 3 -      Module 3 with the Afternoon free to explore Jodhpur

Day 4 -    Module 4 & 5

Day 5 -    Module  6 with the Afternoon free to explore Jodhpur

Day 6 -     Module 7 & 8

Day 7 -   Module 9 with the Afternoon free to explore Jodhpur

Day 8-   Module 10 & 11

Day 9 -  Module 12 with the Afternoon free to explore Jodhpur. This evening we will have a very special graduation dinner.

Day 10 -  Debrief and Departure.


Weather in Jodhpur in September is typically quite warm during the day but it can get very cool at night, so you will want to bring a warm jacket.
